Sissel arrived to us at the end of March 2003, a bit before she got her 1st litter. After taking an excellent care of her babies, she started her show-career. In her 1st show at Ransäter int. on 26th of July 2003, she was best bitch with CAC & CACIB!
Sissel has a lovely character, she gets along perfectly with everyone, even with the cats. She is maybe the funniest dog we have, she has a great sense of humour. Our cat, Velmu, has decided that he is the long lost son of Sissel, so he likes to hang around her most of the time.. This arctic gal has given us a few laughs during the winter; when all our newfies tend to find the coolest places in the house, and lay there, our "Arctic Darling" prefers to sleep as close to the fireplace as she can! -Arctic, yeah right...
Before her arrival, she was mated in Finland by USA -import Kristari´s Fire Lit By Chips Ahoy, "Pentti", who was visiting us in 2002. Pentti went to a couple of shows here in Sweden while his visit, his best result being BIS-2 in Stenungsunds all breed show, in May 2002. Pentti´s & Sissel´s puppies were born 15.04.2003; 4 gorgeous boys, and they are from purely American bloodlines. More information on the litters -page (colour litter)!
Sissel's second litter ('monster' -litter) was born at the end of 2005, sired by our own Espen. Her 3rd and last litter was born during Easter 2007, sired by our other Spanish boy, Kenny.
Sissel finished her International Champion -title on 25th of September, 2005 in Eckerö, Finland. She gained her title in minimum time: 4 international shows = 4 cacibs! She is also a Norwegian Champion.
