[Axl], being the only clumber in Finland between 1980-2000, has won the BIS in the Finnish Spaniel Club´s main speciality -show (approximately 400 spaniels entered) & BIS at an International all-breed show in Finland -98.

His show career consisted of 37 shows, from which he won BOB 28 times. He had also 8 cacibs. Nevertheless, he was never used for breeding.

After enjoying his well deserved retirement days with his record -breaking toy-collection he passed away in the beginning of November 2003 due to a heart-problem.

He was the funniest dog ever. He could spend hours by just carrying a toy in his mouth and waving his tail . Some of us are happy about the little things in life..

Sometimes his toy-addicton went a bit over-board.. He just might get so excited about some toy, that he accidently might swallow it. It wasn´t once that we were feeding him salt in some parking-lot by the show-area, when we had found out that his little toy he loved to go to the ring with had miraculously disappeared.. It was a total wonder that nothing worse happened during those occasions; few years ago during Christmas he threw up a tennis-sock and a 25 cm long squeaky-toy that had once been a long pig in a same package.. We thought that it was some sort of manifest from his side and a little hint that he´d really like to taste that Christmas -ham, and if that wasn´t possible, he was going to find his own ham elsewhere.. After that we only bought him gigantic toys, which he couldn´t eat at all.

Life is truly much more boring without having him around.
